How It Works: Unlike a conventional rooftop tent with its own rigid structural base, the Rev Rack Tent uses the vehicle's compatible platform rack to support the tent and occupants while sleeping.
Roof Rack Included: No. A compatible platform-style roof rack is required.
Front Runner: Compatible with appropriately sized Front Runner Slimline II platforms using the corresponding mounting kit.
Yakima: Compatible with select Yakima LockN'Load platforms using the corresponding Yakima / Rhino mounting kit.
Rhino-Rack: Compatible with select Rhino-Rack Pioneer platforms using the corresponding Yakima / Rhino mounting kit.
Other Platform Racks: Many appropriately sized flat platform racks can be used with C6 Rev Straps when the "Other" mounting system is selected.
Basket-Style Racks: Basket-style racks are not ideal because raised perimeter rails may interfere with the tent doors. C6 states they may be usable when adequate floor support is provided.
Crossbar-Only Systems: A standard two-crossbar roof rack does not provide the continuous support required for this tent. A properly sized platform-style rack is required.
Rack Rails: Raised front or side perimeter rails may interfere with the tent and should be avoided unless compatibility has been confirmed.
Before Ordering: Confirm that the usable portion of your rack measures at least 48" × 84", that unsupported gaps between the slats do not exceed 8", and that your vehicle and rack are properly rated for the intended load.

What type of roof rack does the Rev Rack Tent require?
The Rev Rack Tent requires a flat platform-style roof rack measuring at least 48" wide × 84" long, with gaps between supporting slats no greater than 8". The platform itself supports the tent and occupants while sleeping.
Will it work with regular roof crossbars?
Not by themselves. The Rev Rack Tent is designed to sleep directly on a properly sized platform rack. If your vehicle only has crossbars or a smaller rack, C6 offers a separate Rev Platform system.
Can it work with platform racks from brands other than Front Runner, Yakima, or Rhino-Rack?
Yes. Many properly sized platform racks can work using C6 Rev Straps, provided the rack meets the required 48" × 84" minimum size and 8" maximum slat spacing.
Can I use a basket-style roof rack?
Potentially, but C6 does not consider basket-style racks ideal. Raised perimeter rails may interfere with the tent doors, and the rack still needs to provide proper support beneath the tent.
Is mounting hardware included?
Yes. The Rev Rack Tent includes mounting hardware based on the rack option selected: Front Runner, Yakima/Rhino-Rack, or Rev Straps for other compatible platform racks.
How long does the Rev Rack Tent take to set up?
C6 lists approximately 3–5 minutes for setup on a compatible roof rack.
Can one person remove the tent from the vehicle?
At only 25 lbs, the Rev Rack Tent is considerably easier for one person to handle than a traditional rooftop tent. Vehicle height and safe access should still be considered when installing or removing it.
Do I need the C6 Rev Ladder?
Not necessarily. The ladder is sold separately. If your vehicle already has a safe way to access the roof, such as a rear ladder or another suitable access point, an additional ladder may not be necessary.
Can the Rev Rack Tent be used on the ground?
Yes. The tent can be removed from the vehicle and set up directly on the ground, giving you the option to use the same shelter for rooftop or traditional ground camping.

The Rev Rack Tent is designed for two people and includes a built-in 4-inch foam mattress.
