At Highland Trail Club, we strive to make returns as straightforward as possible. Because we partner directly with multiple manufacturers, return eligibility, processing, and applicable fees may vary depending on the product and brand. Highland Trail Club serves as your primary point of contact and will assist you throughout the return process; however, certain products are subject to manufacturer-specific return requirements.

Return Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable product page, most new, unused products may be returned within 30 days of the documented delivery date.
To qualify for a return, products must:
- Be unused, uninstalled, and in like-new condition.
- Be returned in the original manufacturer's packaging.
- Include all original parts, hardware, manuals, accessories, and documentation.
- Be free from scratches, dents, stains, odors, pet hair, smoke, dirt, mud, corrosion, or other signs of use.
- Include proof of purchase.
Products that do not meet these requirements may be refused or subject to a partial refund at the manufacturer's discretion.
Return Authorization (RMA)
All returns require prior approval from Highland Trail Club.
Before returning any product, please contact us to obtain return instructions and, if applicable, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
Unauthorized returns may be refused, returned to the sender, or subject to additional shipping and handling charges.
Oversized Products & Rooftop Tent Returns
Oversized products, including rooftop tents, awnings, roof racks, and other freight-shipped products, may be subject to additional manufacturer return requirements.
Oversized products generally cannot be returned if they have been:
- Installed or mounted on a vehicle.
- Used, slept in, or otherwise placed into service.
- Modified, drilled, painted, or altered.
- Damaged due to improper installation or handling.
- Returned without the original freight packaging or pallet, when required.
Please contact Highland Trail Club before requesting the return of any oversized product.
Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by applicable law, the following items are generally not eligible for return:
- Installed or used products.
- Products showing signs of wear or use.
- Modified products.
- Custom-built, made-to-order, or special-order items.
- Clearance or final sale items.
- Gift cards.
- Products missing original packaging or components.
- Products returned in unsellable condition.
Return Shipping
Unless the return results from our error or an approved warranty claim, customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
Customers are responsible for ensuring returned merchandise is properly packaged to prevent shipping damage. Highland Trail Club is not responsible for products damaged during return transit due to insufficient packaging.
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance.
Missing Parts & Incomplete Returns
Returned products must include all original hardware, accessories, manuals, keys, ladders, mounting components, and other items originally included with the product.
If a returned product is missing components or arrives incomplete, Highland Trail Club or the manufacturer reserves the right to reduce or deny the refund to account for the missing items.
Restocking Fees
Some manufacturers assess restocking fees on returned merchandise.
When applicable, any manufacturer-imposed restocking fee will be disclosed on the product page or communicated before your return is authorized.
Refund Processing
Once your return has been received and inspected by the manufacturer or authorized return facility, you will be notified of the refund status.
If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow 5–10 business days for your financial institution to process the refund after it has been issued.
Original shipping charges, expedited shipping charges, freight charges, installation costs, labor costs, and similar services are non-refundable unless required by law or the return is the result of our error.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be canceled before entering fulfillment.
Once an order has entered processing, fulfillment, or shipment, cancellation may not be possible.
Canceled orders may be subject to manufacturer cancellation fees, payment processing fees where permitted by law, restocking fees, freight charges, or other applicable costs.
Custom-built, made-to-order, and special-order products cannot be canceled once production or fulfillment has begun.
Refused Deliveries
Refusing delivery without prior authorization from Highland Trail Club does not constitute an approved return.
Customers who refuse delivery without authorization may be responsible for return freight charges, storage fees, restocking fees, and any other costs assessed by the manufacturer or carrier.
Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Products
If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, please contact Highland Trail Club promptly.
Please provide:
- Your order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs of the product.
- Photographs of the packaging, when applicable.
We will work directly with the manufacturer to determine the appropriate resolution, which may include replacement parts, repair, replacement, return authorization, or another remedy consistent with the manufacturer's policies.
Manufacturer-Specific Policies
Highland Trail Club partners with multiple manufacturers, each of whom may maintain unique return requirements.
Where a manufacturer's published return policy differs from this Refund Policy, the manufacturer-specific policy disclosed on the applicable product page will take precedence.
Exchanges
Highland Trail Club does not offer direct exchanges.
If you would like a different product, please return the eligible item (if applicable) and place a new order.
Refused Returns
Returns received without authorization, outside the applicable return window, or in a condition that does not qualify for return may be refused and returned to the sender at the customer's expense.
If a manufacturer declines to accept a returned product because it does not meet the return requirements, no refund will be issued.
